Hanover Central posted their closest victory since March 1, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lowell Red Devils 58-55. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lowell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ezra Elenbaum, who went 7-for-8 to rack up 20 points. He is becoming a predictor of Lowell's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 4-1 (and 6-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Braydon Cox, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and six assists.

The victory got Hanover Central back to even at 10-10. As for Lowell, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Hanover Central will challenge Kouts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kouts' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Lowell, they and Munster will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Munster knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Lowell likes a good challenge.
