Softball Recap: Olentangy Berlin Victorious

Olentangy Berlin and Dublin Jerome pushed the score to 19-4 the last time they played Dublin Jerome, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Bears' pitcher stepped up to hand the Celtics a 4-0 shutout. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Celtics recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Addy DeVito, who gave up just seven hits to keep Dublin Jerome off the board. DeVito has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lily Estrada was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Paige Miles was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.
