Volleyball Recap: Cicero Prep Academy Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Cicero Prep Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the El Capitan Eagles by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Centurions sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Cicero Prep Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-17, 25-11.

Layla Hrabe was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had eight digs and three aces.

Hrabe wasn't the only good servers: Cicero Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matches.

Cicero Prep Academy's record now sits at 28-9. As for El Capitan, they moved to 16-11 with that loss, which also ended their nine-match winning streak.

Cicero Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Anthem Prep on the 8th. El Capitan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
