Flag Football Recap: Valley Center Falls Despite Big Games from Jasmina Guachino and Mykayla Degen

Valley Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost to the El Camino Wildcats on the road by a 37-21 margin. The Jaguars were down 37-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Valley Center's loss came despite strong showings from Mykayla Degen and Jasmina Guachino. Degen gained 242 total yards and a touchdown, while Guachino picked up 63 receiving yards and two scores.

Valley Center's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for El Camino, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-12 record.

Valley Center didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-12 loss against Sage Creek on the 20th. As for El Camino, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-6 win against Oceanside on the 20th.
