Volleyball Game Preview: Green Bay East Red Devils vs. Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes

Green Bay East hasn't had much luck against Fox Valley Lutheran recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will square off against the Foxes at 7:00 p.m.

Green Bay East lost 3-0 to Xavier on Tuesday.

While Green Bay East was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Xavier's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-13, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Fox Valley Lutheran entered their tilt with Oconto Falls on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers.

Fox Valley Lutheran was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-10, 25-23.

Green Bay East better keep an eye on Hayden Massonet. She was instrumental in Fox Valley Lutheran's win, getting 12 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Massonet a new career-high in assists (17).

Fox Valley Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in ten consecutive matches.

Green Bay East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, their record is now 24-8.

Green Bay East came up short against Fox Valley Lutheran in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, falling 2-0. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
