Softball Recap: Pike Road Takes a Loss

Pike Road lost against Chilton County on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pike Road Patriots came up short against the Chilton County Tigers, falling 11-1.

Pike Road saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Cuthbert, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Cuthbert's stole this season.

Pike Road dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Chilton County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2-1.

Pike Road didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 defeat against Holtville on the 25th. As for Chilton County, they have also already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Saint James on the 22nd.
