Basketball Game Preview: Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals vs. Concord Christian Lions

The Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Concord Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Eagleton College & Career Academy strolled past Berean Christian with points to spare, taking the game 70-53. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Berean Christian are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Concord Christian hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took down Clayton-Bradley Academy 63-44 on Tuesday. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Eagleton College & Career Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Concord Christian, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14.

Eagleton College & Career Academy took their victory against Concord Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 54-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eagleton College & Career Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
