Basketball Recap: Logan Stephenson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Vancleave

There's no place like home for St. Luke's Episcopal, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-35 win over the Vancleave Bulldogs on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-33 back in November.

St. Luke's Episcopal's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Stephenson, who went 7-for-15 en route to 18 points. Stephenson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Armani Coleman, who posted 16 points.

St. Luke's Episcopal's record is now 5-2. As for Vancleave, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Luke's Episcopal won't have much time to rest: their next game is against W.S. Neal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vancleave, they and Christian Collegiate Academy will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
