Westerly has gone 7-2 against Stonington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Bears at 10:00 a.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westerly has three straight victories, Stonington has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Westerly is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Sunday. They blew past South Kingstown 44-21. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matchups by more than 22 points this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-24, which was the final score in Stonington's tilt against Ledyard last Friday.

Westerly will need to focus on slowing down Aj Teixeira, one of several Stonington players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 223 yards and four TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Thomas, who threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns.

Westerly's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Stonington, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
