Football Recap: Lowellville Rockets vs. Springfield Tigers
After flying high against Waterloo last Friday, Lowellville came back down to earth. The Rockets lost to the Springfield Tigers at home by a 33-19 margin on Friday. Despite 77 more yards than the Tigers, the Rockets couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the defeat, Lowellville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daniel Huff rushed for 156 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. The Rockets are 2-1 when Huff posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-6 otherwise. Ricky Willrich was another key player, throwing for 122 yards and one TD.
Springfield found their leader in sophomore Marco Gentile, who picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles.
