Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Westmont Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the 76ers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in January.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Westmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10-1.

Independence has already played their next game (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westmont will head out to challenge Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willow Glen will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Westmont surely won't give up without a fight.
