Basketball Game Preview: Churchill Chargers vs. Reagan Rattlers

Churchill is 0-10 against Reagan since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Churchill Chargers will head out to take on the Reagan Rattlers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Churchill earned a 48-40 victory over SA Roosevelt. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Reagan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-42 win over LEE on Saturday. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Volunteers are ranked 724th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reagan's record now sits at 20-9. As for Churchill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-13 record this season.

Churchill came up short against Reagan in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-56. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Reagan's Chase Hill, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 22 points. Now that Churchill knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
