Football Game Preview: Havana Ducks vs. Rushville-Industry Rockets

Havana hasn't had much luck against Rushville-Industry recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ducks will look to defend their home field against the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Havana put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-50 victory over Astoria/VIT.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Cayden Green and Riley Foglesong. Green had a great game and rushed for 286 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Foglesong was balling out in the loss, rushing for 333 yards and four scores on only 15 carries.

Meanwhile, Rushville-Industry had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Tornadoes 46-14. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-6.

Havana better keep an eye on Rylan Reimolds. He was instrumental in Rushville-Industry's win, rushing for 127 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Reimolds' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 127 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Jagger Bartlett, who threw for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Rushville-Industry's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Havana, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Green and Reimolds. Green just won't slow down this season and has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 129.9 rushing yards per game. Reimolds has been a dominant force too and has run in 18 touchdowns while averaging 153.1 rushing yards per game.
