Volleyball Recap: West Springfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ludlow Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 18-25, 25-16.

Emma Krivolenko paced West Springfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Krivolenko got some help from Sophia Stepchuk and her 15 assists. Krivolenko was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

West Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Ludlow, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Coming up, West Springfield is taking a road trip to challenge Commerce at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ludlow, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Franklin County Tech at 5:15 p.m.
