Basketball Recap: Valley Central Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Valley Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Valley Central and Monroe-Woodbury will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Vikings are set to take on their familiar foe Minisink Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Monroe-Woodbury will face off against rival Middletown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
