It was a good run, but Calera unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Chelsea Hornets, falling 75-55. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 57-34 to the Hornets when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Calera lost, don't look at Kora Johnson. Despite the final result, she posted 26 points. Maddison Green was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Calera's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Chelsea, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Calera has already played their next contest, a 69-63 victory against Thompson on the 5th. As for Chelsea, they will face off against Mountain Brook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
