Basketball Recap: Zoe Gonzalez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sanger over Righetti

Sanger has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Righetti Warriors on Friday.

Sanger's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoe Gonzalez, who posted six points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lucy Takeda, who had five points and four steals.

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Righetti, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Sanger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-37 victory against Atascadero on the 14th. As for Righetti, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-41 loss against San Luis Obispo on the 14th.
