This season hasn't been kind to the Monroe Academy Volunteers, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were dealt a 61-29 loss at the hands of Morgan Academy on Friday. Monroe Academy has struggled against the Senators recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

CJ Christopher Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Morgan Academy, scoring 28 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Morgan Academy's points. Wallis Gilmore was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 15 rebounds.

Monroe Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Morgan Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
