Basketball Recap: Odyssey Charter School Takes a Loss

Odyssey Charter School played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the West Shore Wildcats 80-45. The Titans have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Odyssey Charter School lost, don't look at Jevenson Antoine. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 22 en route to 26 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Antoine a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Harrison, who posted five points.

It was another big night for Beau Couture, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 30 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals for West Shore. Couture is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Rebec, who went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Odyssey Charter School's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for West Shore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Odyssey Charter School will take on Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Odyssey Charter School is facing Melbourne Central Catholic at the right time seeing as Melbourne Central Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for West Shore, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 76-42 win against Edgewood on the 31st.
