Basketball Recap: Grand Junction Starts off Right with Win over Monarch + How To Watch

Grand Junction gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Monarch Coyotes with a sharp 72-46 victory. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 64-41 win the Coyotes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Grand Junction's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Weirath led the charge by going 7-for-12 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. Those 21 points gave Weirath a new career-high. Andrew Henderson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.
