Soccer Recap: San Clemente Takes a Loss

San Clemente managed to keep up with Mira Costa until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. 2025 welcomed the San Clemente Tritons with a 4-0 loss courtesy of the Mira Costa Mustangs. The Tritons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Clemente now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Mira Costa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-4.

San Clemente and Mira Costa could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. San Clemente (ranked 256th) will meet Aliso Niguel (ranked 66th) at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mira Costa will challenge Palos Verdes on Tuesday down 244 places (248 vs. 4).
