Baseball Game Preview: Mount Pleasant Tigers vs. Parkwood Wolf Pack

The Mount Pleasant Tigers will challenge the Parkwood Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mount Pleasant is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering West Stanly just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-1 to the Colts.

Mount Pleasant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Shackelford, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Carter Rowland also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Parkwood's offense. They lost 16-0 to Legion Collegiate Academy on Friday. The Wolf Pack's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Parkwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mount Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Mount Pleasant beat Parkwood 8-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Will Mount Pleasant repeat their success, or does Parkwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
