Baseball Recap: Severance Takes a Loss

Severance was the 7-3 winner over Berthoud when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Severance Silver Knights fell just short of the Berthoud Spartans by a score of 9-8 on Saturday.

Karson Panas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

Severance's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Berthoud, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

While Severance had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
