Volleyball Recap: Lake Zurich Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lake Zurich and Fremd squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lake Zurich had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Vikings. The Bears have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Lake Zurich had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Sage Olson paced Lake Zurich's offense, picking up 11 kills. Olson got some help from Ella Elsen and her 12 assists.

Lake Zurich's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Fremd, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-7.

Lake Zurich does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremd, they will take on Stevenson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
