The Daniel Academy skates past Ozanam with ease

There's no place like home for The Daniel Academy Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Ozanam 59-31 at home. That looming 59-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for The Daniel Academy yet this season.

The Daniel Academy had a senior duo take command as Jesse Yap scored 23 points along with six steals and Chris W dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Yap grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Rowen S, who scored eight points.

Talan Olmstead and Zaireion Nicholson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Olmstead dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Nicholson scored seven points along with five rebounds. That was a full 45.2% of Ozanam's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

The Daniel Academy's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.3 points. As for Ozanam, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

The Daniel Academy will be playing at home against the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Training Center Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ozanam, they will head out on the road to challenge the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
