Volleyball Recap: King Comes Up Short + How To Watch

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Newsome Wolves. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in October of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-1, 25-3, 25-3.

Newsome can attribute much of their success to Natalie Kappaz, who had 16 aces and 13 assists. Those 16 aces gave Kappaz a new career-high.

King's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Newsome, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Wharton on the 9th. As for Newsome, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Chamberlain on the 8th.
