Baseball Recap: Cabool Takes a Loss

Cabool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain Grove Panthers, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 21-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Cabool saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Long, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Cabool's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mountain Grove, they moved to 9-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cabool will face off against Houston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mountain Grove, they will host Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
