Recap: Hoehne Farmers vs. Fowler Grizzlies
The Hoehne Farmers waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 48-38 win over Fowler. For Hoehne, this counts as revenge for the 45-42 defeat Fowler walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Hoehne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Janae Ramos, who scored eight points along with three steals. Ramos is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessa Cantoria, who scored four points along with five assists and three steals.
Fowler lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Randi Maestas, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Maestas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Jaslyn Bates was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Hoehne's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Fowler, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Walsenburg the next time they take the court. Hoehne will head out to face Walsenburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fowler will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
