Baseball Recap: Hamilton Titans vs. Liberty Eagles

Hamilton lost against Liberty back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hamilton Titans fell just short of the Liberty Eagles by a score of 6-5.

Brayden Carter was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Carter was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Mason Stevenson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

On Liberty's side, Devon Funk was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI. Another player making a difference was Levi Hoener, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with a stolen base and an RBI.

Hamilton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.

Hamilton will be playing at home against Augusta Southeastern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
