Timpview took down Spanish Fork 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Maple Mountain's dynamic duo of Jake Dixon and Canon Miner proved to be unstoppable against Wasatch, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dixon threw for 258 yards and 2 touchdowns and Miner had 157 yards receiving. Jake Mafi helped Maple Mountain's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 51 yards.
He was 11-33 with 0 interceptions.
An important game coming up in 4A Region 8 this week will be when Springville takes on Salem Hills. At the moment, the Red Devils are in second, while the Skyhawks are in third.
The Wasps made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,137 from 5,834. The advance stemmed from a 24-19 victory over the Golden Eagles last week.
