Avery McCartney has led Central Private in runs on the season and she led the team again on Thursday. McCartney was unstoppable, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.

Coming up, McCartney and Central Private will face off against St. Scholastica at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, McCartney's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Redhawks' seven-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, McCartney and the Redhawks surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
