Football Game Preview: Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane vs. Heard County Braves + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Victor Copeland and Ethan Tisdale are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane will head out to square off against the Heard County Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Fitzgerald sitting on seven straight victories and Heard County on 12.

Fitzgerald is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Dublin with a sharp 28-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Purple Hurricane, who have now won seven games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Heard County took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-10 victory over Social Circle. The Braves are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the ninth contest they've won by 20+ points this season.

Heard County's win came from a few key players Fitzgerald will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zaiden Moreland, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Darience Coleman also helped out as he racked up 103 rushing yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Heard County proved: they limited Social Circle to a paltry three yards per carry. The team can thank Max Lasseter for the heroic effort on defense: he. Heard County didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.1.

Fitzgerald's record is now 9-4. As for Heard County, their record now sits at 12-0.
