Football Recap: Skyline Skates Past Idaho Falls with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They breezed past the Idaho Falls Tigers to the tune of 55-13 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-6.

Zyan Crockett had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Caden Cruz also helped with two scores in total.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Skyline proved: they limited Idaho Falls to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. The Grizzlies didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.9.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Skyline, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Crockett, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Idaho Falls saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenyon Spencer picked up 86 receiving yards and two TDs.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Idaho Falls, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 29-10 victory against Shelley on the 3rd. As for Idaho Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-0 defeat against Minico on the 3rd.
