Baseball Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Falls to Annville-Cleona in First Game of Season

Upper Dauphin Area unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen on Friday, falling 10-2. The Trojans have struggled against the Dutchmen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Upper Dauphin Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Bellis, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Nolan Schreffler was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Annville-Cleona back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Upper Dauphin Area will face off against Tulpehocken at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Annville-Cleona, they will venture away from home to face off against Eastern Lebanon County at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
