Volleyball Game Preview: Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors vs. Cascade Kodiaks

Cle Elum-Roslyn is a perfect 3-0 against Cascade since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Kodiaks at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Cle Elum-Roslyn got the win against Highland by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Scots: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cle Elum-Roslyn took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-14.

Cle Elum-Roslyn can attribute much of their success to Sydney Brown, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Audrey Teh, who had 13 assists and four aces. Brown is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season. Charlotte Nansel also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Cle Elum-Roslyn was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Cascade made easy work of Sultan on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Cle Elum-Roslyn's record now sits at 5-2. As for Cascade, their record is now 4-5.

Cle Elum-Roslyn took their win against Cascade in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
