Volleyball Recap: Royal Valley Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Royal Valley challenged Jefferson West on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Jefferson West scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17.

Royal Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Jefferson West, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coincidentally, Royal Valley and Jefferson West will both be playing Perry-Lecompton the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Kaws at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
