Football Game Preview: Dumas Demons vs. Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees + How To Watch

The Dumas Demons will square off against the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Dumas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Riverside, posting an 83-35 victory. Given the Demons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Rangers are ranked 636th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Stephenville put another one in the bag last Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pecos 56-7. That's two games straight that the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees have won by exactly 49 points.

Dumas' record now sits at 8-3. As for Stephenville, their record is now 11-0.

Dumas couldn't quite get it done against Stephenville in their previous matchup back in September of 2020 as they fell 46-33. Thankfully for the Demons, Gavin Rountree (who threw for 291 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time.
