Volleyball Game Preview: Puxico Indians vs. Malden Green Wave

The Puxico Indians will head out to take on the Malden Green Wave at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Puxico is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Puxico lost 3-0 to Oak Ridge on Thursday.

Puxico took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Malden made easy work of Bloomfield on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Green Wave haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Malden was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-10, 25-16.

Puxico's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Malden, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5-3.

Everything went Puxico's way against Malden in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Puxico made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
