Softball Game Preview: Pottsville Apaches vs. Ozark Hillbillies

For the second straight game, Pottsville will face off against Ozark. The Apaches will square off against the Hillbillies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pottsville will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Pottsville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Ozark. The result was nothing new for the Apaches, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jessica Atkins was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Gavreen Sarai was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Pottsville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Ozark, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
