It's playoff time, and Slidell had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Covington Lions with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-8.

Slidell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Kate Spilling out in front who had 16 digs and two aces. Spilling has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last four times she's played. Lillian Simpson was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

Slidell's victory bumped their record up to 33-7. As for Covington, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-23.

As of now, neither Slidell nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
