Underclassman Winston Patterson came into Saturday's matchup looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. He wasn't messing around on Saturday, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with one or fewer earned runs.

Coming up, Patterson and Ralston Valley will square off against Valor Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last time these two faced off, Patterson and Co. were forced to settle for a 7-6 loss.
