Volleyball Game Preview: Village Christian Crusaders vs. Canyon Cowboys

The Village Christian Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Canyon Cowboys at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Village Christian, who comes in off a win.

Village Christian made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Glendale Adventist, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Village Christian was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Glendale Adventist on Monday. The Crusaders not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 18th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was RJ Nunez, who had 19 digs. Those 19 digs gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Canyon came up short against West Ranch on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cowboys have suffered against the Wildcats since March 1, 2022.

While Canyon had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Village Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.
