Volleyball Recap: Berrien Springs Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Berrien Springs can now relate to. They fell just short of the Buchanan Bucks by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their meetings with the Bucks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Berrien Springs wouldn't go down easily and took Buchanan into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 24-26, 15-25, 15-8.

Zion Ellis paced Berrien Springs' offense, picking up 22 kills. Ellis got some help from Vivienne Kittleson and her 45 assists.

Berrien Springs now has a losing record of 21-22-4. As for Buchanan, they pushed their record up to 20-10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Berrien Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buchanan, they will face off against Edwardsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
