Softball Recap: Capital Bruins vs. Belgrade Panthers

Capital can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Belgrade Panthers as the Capital Bruins made off with a 16-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but Capital sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kathryn Emmert made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Emmert has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Emmert was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Capital got a massive performance out of Anna Cockhill, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kate Drynan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

On Belgrade's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Ragland, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
