Volleyball Recap: Walker Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Walker Valley lost against Ooltewah back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Owls by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Walker Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 15-13.

Madeline McBrayer paced Walker Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. McBrayer got some help from Julia Scarbrough and her 12 assists. Madison Mcclung controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Walker Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Ooltewah, they moved to 5-12 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Walker Valley and Ooltewah will both be playing Boyd-Buchanan the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Buccaneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Owls will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
