Cottonwood is 6-1 against Tooele since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Cottonwood really took it to Murray for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-28 win. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tooele unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Jordan by a score of 52-50.

Despite the defeat, Tooele saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kennedy Searle went 7 for 14 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camila Lora, who posted six points along with five boards and three steals.

Tooele's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 14-6. As for Cottonwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
