League recap: Paraclete tops Sierra Canyon to extend winning streak

Paraclete extended the longest winning streak in Alpha this week by beating Sierra Canyon, 31-17. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Brentwood School took down Maranatha Christian 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Brandyn Lee was the best wideout in the league this week as the Trailblazers lost to Paraclete. Lee tallied three receptions for 89 yards. Preston White helped Sierra Canyon's passing attack out by catching four balls for 33 yards.

Dalton Jaklitsch put up the best numbers through the air as Viewpoint topped Kilpatrick. He finished with 13 completions for 293 yards and five touchdowns. Jaklitsch's favorite target this week was David Cutler, who caught four passes for 84 yards.

Xavier Menifield was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 152 yards as Sierra Canyon lost to Norm Dahlia's team. Blade Brady also contributed to the rushing game with 16 yards on the ground.

Thanks to the talents of Andre Nunez and Menifield Jon Ellinghouse's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Nunez leads the league in passing with 1708 yards, while Menifield has rushed for 1382 yards this season. The Spirits' Triston Brown leads the league in receiving yards with 550 on 26 catches.

The Patriots led Alpha in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on the Mustangs. Jaklitsch ran for three yards in the win.
