Softball Game Preview: West Caldwell Warriors vs. Maiden Blue Devils

The West Caldwell Warriors will face off against the Maiden Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Caldwell's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Maiden's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Caldwell is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Bunker Hill on Friday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Maiden's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 11-7 to West Lincoln.

Olivia Wray made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Maiden's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for West Caldwell, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.
