Basketball Recap: Ogden Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Ogden duked it out withSouth Summit on Tuesday. The Ogden Tigers lost 46-23 to the South Summit Wildcats. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Emma Broadbent was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 25 boards for South Summit. The game was Broadbent's 30th in a row with at least ten points. Mariah Bowen was another key player, putting up 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Ogden's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for South Summit, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Ogden is taking a road trip to square off against Ben Lomond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ogden is facing Ben Lomond at the right time seeing as Ben Lomond is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for South Summit, they will venture away from home to face off against Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Summit is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
