Heritage had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Merritt Island Christian on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Heritage was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-14.

Leading Heritage to victory were Amber Gunter and Eva Vuichard. Gunter had 14 digs and five aces, while Vuichard had 33 assists and three aces. What's more, Gunter posted three kills, the most she's had since back in September. Layla Crespo-Delgado was another key player, getting eight kills and five aces.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Merritt Island Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Merritt Island Christian, they will challenge Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
